For a long time Zvjezdana Jembrih published poetry only in literary journals. The book "Lovers, queen, hunger" is her first poetry collection. The poems in this book were written form 1983. till 2007. and the reader will find variety of moods and modes in them. But in all of her poems Zvjezdana Jembrih shows great artistic control over form and images. Reduction of poetic speech, purity of transferred experience and minimalistic means of expression make this book quite a unique reading in Croatian contemporary production.
